Аннотация:
Тема о так называемых цыганских – судах одна из центральных и наиболее разработанных в исследованиях цыган. Этой теме был посвящен ряд работ, состоялись многочисленные дискуссии о природе этого явления, его содержании, функциях и происхождении. Настоящая статья представляет в первый раз на русском языке богатый сопоставительный материал, который авторы собирали в течении более 30-их лет путем эгнографических полевых исследований среди различных цыганских групп в регионе Центральной, Юго-Восточной и Восточной Европы. На этой основе представлено распространение и описана сущность цыганского суда и также опровергнуты некоторые научные мифы и связанные с ними ошибочные утверждения.
